Custom Home & Condo Renovations in Stuart

Interior renovations for homes and condos, designed around how you live: open layouts, new flooring, railings, trim, accent walls and finishes you choose.

Renovations that fit your home, not a template

A custom renovation starts with the rooms you have and the way you want to live in them. Some homeowners want an older Stuart floor plan opened up; others want a dated condo on Hutchinson Island brought up to date before they move in. HBS Custom Renovation plans the whole project with you, from layout to the last piece of trim, and manages it with one accountable team.

What a custom renovation can include

  • Layout changes: opening walls between kitchen, dining and living areas, with engineering when a wall is load-bearing.
  • Flooring: wood-look luxury vinyl plank, tile and wood, installed throughout a home or condo.
  • Stairs, railings and lofts: cable railings, iron balusters, new treads and handrails.
  • Walls and ceilings: drywall, texture, paint, accent walls and trim. See custom built-ins and carpentry.
  • Doors and windows, including impact-rated replacements where the project calls for them.

Kitchens and bathrooms are part of many renovations. Our parent company handles kitchen remodeling and bathroom renovations, and when they are part of your project the same team coordinates everything so the work flows together.

Condo renovations in Stuart, Jensen Beach and Hutchinson Island

Condo work comes with its own rules. Before anything is scheduled we review your association's renovation requirements: approval forms, allowed work hours, elevator and parking reservations, and rules such as sound-control underlayment under hard flooring. Planning those details early keeps the project moving and keeps you on good terms with your neighbors.

Permits and trades

Flooring, paint and trim usually do not need a permit. Removing walls, changing electrical or plumbing, and replacing windows or doors do. Permits are pulled by the appropriately licensed contractor for each trade, and HBS coordinates those trades as part of your project. Who holds each permit is written into your scope before work starts. HBS does not do roofing, major electrical or major plumbing work; those parts of a project are done by licensed specialists.

Questions homeowners ask

Can you remove a wall to open up my floor plan?

Often, yes. Non-structural walls can be removed directly; load-bearing walls need an engineered beam and a permit. We check the wall during the consultation and explain the options.

Can I live in my home during a renovation?

Usually, yes. We phase the work, contain dust, and keep a working path through the house. For large condo renovations some owners prefer to stay elsewhere for part of the project.

Which flooring is best for a Florida home or condo?

Luxury vinyl plank and porcelain tile handle humidity and water well. Many condo associations require a sound-control underlayment under hard flooring, so we confirm the rules before you choose.

Do you handle kitchens and bathrooms too?

Yes, through our parent company, Home & Beyond Services. When a kitchen or bathroom is part of your renovation, one team coordinates the whole project.
